The feeder can hold a stack of paper up to 500mm in height. Each sheet is gently transported into the unit without scratches or marks caused by feed tires on friction fed feeders or from friction on bottom fed suction feeders.

When the ultrasonic sheet detector sees more than one sheet being fed at a time it automatically sends them to a separate output area and continues to run the job without stopping. This system eliminates the system from having to stop due to a mis-feed and prevents a jam before it happens. This saves time and possible damage to the machine.
When the feeder and the main finishing unit do not come from the same manufacturer the two units will not communicate without an outfeed sensor extension. The extension is connected to both devices and allows for communication. When a stoppage occurs in the main unit the feeder will stop to avoid waste and possible damage to the machines.
This is used when the exit of one machine cannot reach to the infeed of the next machine. It can also be used for extra-long sheets to move the paper away from one machine so that it is not gripped by two different machines, potentially running at different speeds, at the same time. Without it paper jams will occur.

This style of conveyor is designed for laminators that require an overlap to operate. A stopper driven by a solenoid is programmed to move up and down to allow the second sheet to drop onto the first sheet while it continues to move. The system creates a constant and equal overlap.
